Pack 131 is starting a Patch Program so our Scouts can earn additional patches beyond those earned through our normal program. Our Scouts should be proud of the activities, adventures, and service they participate in and this program will give them the opportunity to earn and show off patches for a variety of activities.
Scouts will also be able to earn a Brag Vest to show off their patches by completing 10 Service Hours!
There will be four classes of patches:
Standard Scout Patches - these are non-uniform patches earned through normal Scout events, like Council Camps, Popcorn Sales, Outdoor Activity Awards, and more.
Special Pack 131 Event Patches - These are earned through our major annual Pack 131 Events and include Pinewood Derby, Raingutter Regatta, Blue & Gold, and our Pack Campout. Scouts will earn a new large patch for each of these events.
Special Achievement Patches - These are awarded to Scouts for completing certain objectives, like recruiting another Scout,
Activity & Segment Patches - A number of activities will earn our Scouts a large patch the first time they participate in the activity and then a segment patch each additional time they participate in the same type of activity. Examples include participating in a non-Scout meeting Flag Ceremony, attending a Live Performance, performing in a Campfire Program, attending a Bike Hike, helping with a Flag Retirement, visiting a Police Station, and more! See below for a list of all the Activity & Segment Patches
Participate in a Flag Ceremony for a non-Scout event, like a City Council meeting, sporting event, school function, or concert opening.

Pack 131 participates in Feed My Starving Children through the Make A Difference DeKalb County Mobile Pack event. Earn a patch when you participate and help out even more! Each patch also helps provide meals to kids in need.

It has become a Pack 131 tradition to attend the Friday Night races on the Friday before Memorial Day. We present the flags for the National Anthem and then enjoy an evening of dirt track racing.

Aside from our annual Pack Family Camp, there are more opportunities for Scouts to experience camping. Council and District events like Cub-O-Ree, Camporee, and even additional Pack campouts count!
