Would you like to help recruit?
If you would like to staff a table at a recruiting event (like a back-to-school night, community event, etc.), it's pretty easy. Use the files above to help you out. The Pack 131 Post Card is probably the most important (you can just print the first page if you don't want to print double-sided), and the Sign In Form is good to have, too. It's useful to have some of your kids' Scout projects, awards, shirts, etc., with you to set out on the table. If you want, you can have a bowl with candy or something, too. If you connect with a leader, we have some additional items that you can use, too, like stickers, example awards, posters, and more.
Know of a good recruiting event?
Let us know! We want to get the word out about Pack 131 so we can continue to grow the Pack and provide an excellent, fun Scouting experience for as many families as possible!
Questions about an event (that we'll need to know):
What day is the event, and where is it located?
What time is setup? And what time does the event officially start and end?
Will a table be provided, or will we need to bring our own?
How much space will we have? Will it just be the table, or is there room for games, etc?
Who is the contact person for the event?
Things to Mention to Prospective Families
Cub Scouts is for boys and girls in Kindergarten through 5th Grade.
All of our events are family-oriented, so younger and older siblings are welcome.
We do a lot of outdoor activities, like camping and hiking. We also do community service, teach about citizenship, leadership, and teamwork, and have awesome activities like Pinewood Derby, Movie Nights, and more. And we go to cool places like sporting events, tours of the police and fire stations, the airport, the Egyptian Theatre, and more.
Cub Scouts is super fun and we are teaching important life skills and values.
